Kia Ora, my name is Daniela Wood and I live in New Plymouth, Taranaki. I have moved to New Zealand in 2012 with my Kiwi husband Nigel and two sons which has been an enormous change in our lives. I knew this area a little bit from our previous visits but moving somewhere on a long term is very much different than just a few weeks on holiday.
I am originally from Prague, Czech Republic and I also lived in Spain and London for many years. I have plenty of experience with living abroad so I know that being far away from your family and friends can sometimes be challenging as much as it is an exciting adventure.
My background includes a career in boutique style hotels and I love meeting new people from different countries.
I love the healthy lifestyle and lots of space everywhere and most of all the countless outdoor activities that we regularly do as a family. New Plymouth has became such a vibrant town where you can find many cultural events such as musical festival Womad, visit the spectacular Len Lye museum or you can grab a nice coffee in one of many cafes. There are great surf beaches, coastal walkway, bush walks and of course the iconic Mount Taranaki that you might fancy climbing up one day.
I will be truly honoured to assist you with your resettlement and share my best knowledge about this beautiful part of New Zealand.
