Hi, my name is Vicki Mitchell and I have had the pleasure of calling New Plymouth home for the last 30 years!

Originally from Blenheim (at the top of the South Island), after studying in Christchurch, my husband Kerry and I moved here in the 1980s, when he took up a position with a large global company. Over the years we have had the wonderful opportunity to meet and welcome many immigrants to New Plymouth, helping them settle into our beautiful city. New Plymouth offers a great deal, from our wonderful coastline, mountain and green spaces to our vibrant city centre, but especially the easy-going nature of our community. After working as a nurse, I have had many happy years raising our 3 children, who range in age from 18 to 24 years. This has given me a great knowledge of schooling, sporting and cultural opportunities available. I look forward to meeting you and assisting in your resettlement here.
