TODAY'S ANNOUNCEMENT ON BORDER UPDATES

The government has announced further changes to the New Zealand border reopening plan, allowing entry to certain travellers, earlier than expected.
The move will give Kiwi employers early access to those travelling to interview and also allow potential employees a chance to visit New Zealand as part of their decision making process.

It will also mean employees on a visa can now be reunited with family and friends.

These updates are a further move in the right direction towards returning our border settings to their pre-covid status.
The latest updates as follows:
From Tuesday 12 April, 11.59 pm, the border reopens to fully vaccinated Australian citizens and permanent residents coming from anywhere in the world. This was originally planned for Step 4, July 2022.
From Sunday 1 May, 11.59 pm, the borders reopen to fully vaccinated travellers coming from Visa-waiver countries, as well as individuals that already hold valid visitor visas (including those currently in New Zealand wanting to travel offshore and return).
